Behind the Scenes

	Elaine Founder	Elaine fell in love with her husband's native country of Peru the first time she visited, over 28 years ago. Since then, she and Alberto have dedicated themselves to creating a family of American businesses that highlight all Peru has to offer. She enjoys traveling to their home in Peru several times a year, and working one on one with Peruvian artisans to create unique handcrafted jewelry designs for women in the US. As a Connecticut native, she uses her understanding of the American woman's aesthetic to come up with styles that honor Peruvian traditions while blending seamlessly with each customer's individual style.
	Robin Founder	Robin is Elaine's sister and co-founder for Bella Peru. After seeing the jewelry Elaine brought back from Peru and learning about the unique artisan traditions that made it so special, she became Elaine's business partner. She shares Elaine's vision of helping Peruvian artisans by giving them a larger market for their art and making this impressive and exotic jewelry available to women in the US. She and Elaine work together to test each new design to ensure that their high standards for quality are met with every piece that goes into this special collection.
